The Notre Dame Fighting Irish fell to the Michigan State Spartans Saturday as the two squads finished out their series in overtime. A spotless Irish penalty kill was nothing new to fans, but the aggression from Friday 3-2 Irish victory just wasn there the second time around. First Period The first twenty minutes brought a power play opportunity for each team, but both failed to snag the first goal in the period https://www.ndfioutlet.com/Michael_Vinson_Jersey-37. By the end of the first, Notre Dame had tripled Michigan State 3 shots with 9 and had won 14 faceoffs while MSU had won 4. The two teams headed into the second with a 0-0 scoreboard. Second Period Notre Dame maintained control on the offense, but the Spartans began to get a little more aggressive. By the end of the period, Notre Dame had outshot Michigan State 19-13 Michael Mayer Jersey. An on-ice tiff sent players from both teams to the box. This put the Spartans on the power play at the end of the second and into the third, but the game remained scoreless.Third PeriodMore scrapping, more penalties, more shots. However, more trips to the box and an added sense of urgency weren enough to put either team on the board and fans got some extra hockey. Several FCS teams seemed to have their FBS foes dead to rights on Saturday, but Air Force wasn going to fall victim to the trend. After a season where almost nothing seemed to go according to plan, the Falcons weren about to let a few Leopards ruin their home opener. At least, not if Haaziq Daniels and the offense had anything to say about it.They had quite a lot to say in the first half, scoring a perfect four touchdowns on four offensive possessions to head into halftime up 28-7. In fact, Air Force looked well on its way to covering the massive 40-point line that the oddsmakers had set https://www.affoutlet.com/Mckenly_Oneal_Jersey-127. They didn quite get there though, and here how it all went down.RecapThe Leopards took the opening possession of the football, trotting out their first quarterback of the day, Aaron Angelos. After a false start, a nine-yard sack, and a rush that went nowhere, Lafayette grabbed a few of those yards back with a short pass, but it was time to punt.Air Force took over at its own 41 and immediately showed off the returning skill from last year. The Falcons rushed on 11 straight plays, with Haaziq Daniels, Ben Roberts, and Micah Davis contributing key yardage. Davis had the honor of securing the first touchdown of the year on a 10-yard pitch to the corner of the end-zone. Matthew Dapore sent his first extra point through the uprights he would make three of four on the day..ziiqq3 MicahDavis22_1 for the first TD of the season! #LetsFly Lafayette received the ensuing kickoff and drove all the way to the Air Force 35 before the drive stalled. Three consecutive Angelos incompletions led to a turnover on downs, and Haaziq and the boys were ready to take over. They had no trouble moving the ball again at will, with Micah Davis adding a huge 36-yard run to his growing box score. Brandon Lewis added his lone 12-yard rush of the day, but this time it was Daniels turn to put points on the board with a seven-yard run.QB1 to the end zoneFalcons lead 14-0 in the first! The third drive for the Lafayette Leopards came with something new a second quarterback under center. It was now Rent Montie turn to lead the offense, and it immediately paid dividends with a 13-play, 83-yard drive. Montie hit Julius Young with a 23-yard touchdown pass to cut the lead in half with 9:02 left in the first half.Don stop us if youe heard this before, but Air Force grabbed the ball back and ran with it. Daniels and Roberts traded short rushes before Haaziq decided to show off his arm to the tune of a 23-yard completion. After the pass, the Falcons swapped back to the traditional run-first offense, with Micah Davis finding pay-dirt on a 16-yard pitch. In truth, it looked like a perfect mirror of his first touchdown on the day..MicahDavis22_12Falcons answer with a touchdown! The Leopards trotted back out for a quick three and out that featured both Montie and Angelo https://www.affoutlet.com/Ben_Hoffner_Jersey-38, as well as a blindside block that put Lafayette behind the chains. It brings back the old saying, f you have two quarterbacks, you have none.afayette punted back to Air Force with just under two minutes in the first half, and the Falcons wasted no time. They only had to go 40 yards to find the endzone, and a pass from Haaziq Daniels to Micah Davis took care of 17 of those yards in one go Kris Campbell Jersey. Daniels kept the ball for himself once again, and a two-point try out of DeAndre Hughes gave the Falcons their 28-7 halftime edge.Finishing the quarter in the end zone!It felt safe to assume that Air Force was ready to come back out for the second half and roll https://www.affoutlet.com/Jorden_Gidrey_Jersey-60, but that not what we got. Two short Falcon drives sandwiched a long Leopards touchdown push capped off by a Selwyn Simpson run. Pettit put his extra point through the uprights to give the Leopards their final 14 point total. Both teams traded punts at this point until the Falcons regained possession with around 10 minutes left in the game. They had the benefit of a short field to work with, and Haaziq Daniels put the icing on the opening day cake with a 19-yard touchdown scamper.Touchdown no. 3 for ziiqq3 Lafayette appeared to have one more shot in them as they put up a quick 41 yards in just five plays on the ensuing drive. Then, on third down, Montie stepped back to pass, only to fire the ball directly into the waiting arms of Corvan Taylor, effectively icing the game. The Falcons returned on offense, marching 44 yards in nearly four minutes until the clock hit triple zeroes with a final score of Air Force: 35, Lafayette: 14.TakeawaysTaking care of the footballWe spent a good chunk of last year bemoaning Air Force turnovers. The fumble bug seemed to rear its ugly head at precisely the worst times, and interceptions proved costly for a team that doesn love to throw. Luckily for everyone, that didn seem to be the case in week one. No matter who had the ball from Daniels and Roberts all the way to Emmanuel Michel with just one carry the Falcons protected the rock. Not one single fumble, and not a single interception on five attempts. It bodes well ahead of a stiffer Navy test.A team effort on defenseWee also made a lot of the impact of turnbacks on this Falcons team, and it felt good to have key names back in the box score. Demonte Meeks and Jordan Jackson found themselves among the top five tacklers on the team, but wee here to look at everyone. A total of 21 Falcons tallied tackles, whether they were solo or assists. Overall, the team added 47 stops compared to 92 stops for the Leopards, just to show you how much Air Force dominated possession. The offense will be just fineFor as perfect as the first half seemed to be, the Falcons' second half was rather shaky. They couldn get anything going, though it may have been a chance to rotate some depth on the offensive line. After all, this is a line tasked with rebuilding following the departure of vaunted names like All-American Nolan Laufenberg. There should be no cause for alarm, as the first half showed just how well this machine can hum. Look for the first-half team to show up again next week.Up nextThe Falcons are on their way to Annapolis, Maryland for Week Two, where they will take on the Midshipmen of Navy. Stay tuned for more content than you can shake a stick at this week. https://www.affoutlet.com/Dane_Kinamon_Jersey-96 Warren Bryan Jersey

The No. 6 Stanford Cardinal (19-2, 16-2) finished the regular season sweep of the No. 13 Oregon Ducks (12-5, 9-5) by traveling to Matt Knight Arena and defeating the home team 63 to 61. EUGENE, OREGON - Just like when these two teams met earlier in the season, this contest came down to the final minute and, unfortunately, fell on the side of Stanford veteran squad. Both Taylor Mikesell and Te-Hina Paopao had an opportunity to make either a game-tying or game-winning shot in the final 19 seconds of the game Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu Jersey, but neither was able to finish the job KJ Maduike Jersey. Still, both of these first-year Ducks played great games against one of the best teams in the country, and overall Oregon put together a performance that they will hopefully be able to build off of after an electric second half nearly delivered them the upset. Down two...27.4 seconds left...Oregon ball...#GoDucks Early on it appeared Oregon would continue their offensive slump when a three-pointer from Stanford Kiana Williams put the Ducks in a 15-point hole with 3:11 remaining before the half, but Graves squad showed signs of life by putting together an 8-0 run to make it 33-26 at the half. The Ducks shot just 35.5 percent from the floor in the first half but improved to 41.8 percent in the end by hitting 12 of their 24 second-half shots. Oregon was much better from three-point land than in their previous five contests, tallying 10 triples out of 21 deep shots taken. Oregon had six different players hit a triple in this one: Paopao (3-of-5), Mikesell (2-of-3), Erin Boley (1-of-3), Sydney Parrish (1-of-3), Jaz Shelley (2-of-5) and Sedona Prince (1-of-1). Oregon led 56-51 with 3:40 left in the game after a triple from Shelley, and even led 61-58 with just 1:46 remaining, but once again Stanford was able to fight off the Ducks for the victory. Mikesell earned the start and scored a team-high 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Nyara Sabally continues to be Oregon most consistent scorer by racking up 12 points and grabbing seven rebounds despite having an off night against Stanford large defenders (5-of-13 from the floor.) Paopao played with great confidence and was rewarded with 11 points and nine rebounds. Parrish started her first game of the season and tallied five points in 21 minutes of play. Kiana Williams (20 Pts), Cameron Brink (16 Pts, 9 Reb) and Lacie Hull (13 Pts, 7 Reb) led the way for the Cardinal, which finished the game shooting 46.4 percent. Oregon and Stanford turned over the ball 18 times apiece and took part in 10 jump balls. Neither team shot a free throw until the second half https://www.odoutletstore.com/Jj_Greenfield_Jersey-62.During halftime, ESPN revealed the NCAA tournament selection committee first top-16 ranking of the season in which Oregon placed 11th overall as a 3 seed. The Cardinal was No. 3 overall, Arizona No. 8 and UCLA No. 9. Things don get easier for the Ducks as they hit the road to take on another conference foe that beat them at Matt Knight this season - the No. 8 UCLA Bruins. The game wasn perfect. In fact, it was a typical Week 1 game. Sloppy and unorganized but exciting and invigorating as well. Arizona State played its first game in front of the Sun Devil faithful since the 2019 Territorial Cup https://www.assdoutlet.com/Deonce_Elliott_Jersey-114. While the game wasn perfect, the atmosphere signified a return to near normalcy, which brings us to the good, the bad, and the ugly. The Good - The fans, the defense and the running gameOutside of the game, ASU fans made their presence felt. All throughout Tempe, Maroon and Gold clad diehards made the pilgrimage back to Sun Devil stadium for the first time in 18 months. The fans brought the energy, jingled their keys, stomped the bus, and watched a Sun Devil victory. A good return to the stands to say the least. The first look of the Sun Devil defense was a good one. Darion Butler had two interceptions, leading a veteran group that looked the part of a unit that ready to make noise once conference play starts. The front seven held the Thunderbirds to 78 total rushing yards without Jermayne Lole, and demonstrated why theye was so much talk about the ferociousness and hunger of this unit headed into 2020 George Hart III Jersey.Chip Trayanum, Rachaad White and Daniyel Ngata all found the end zone picking up right where they left off last season. The trio averaged 5.7 yards per rush, and caused havoc for a Thunderbird defense that couldn handle the shiftiness of White and the power of Trayanum and Ngata. Look out, Pac-12.The Bad - KickingHerm Edwards wasn shy about his concerns about the Sun Devils kicking situation this season, and those concerns were validated 24 seconds into the season after Logan Tyler extra point attempt was blocked (it was going to miss if it wasn blocked anyway). Football is a three-pronged game, just because ASU has a treasure chest full of offensive and defensive talent, having weakness in the kicking and special teams game is a dangerous game to play. In case youe interested in what that looks like, Google the 2018 Chicago Bears, 1990 Buffalo Bills, or the 2018 Territorial Cup.The Ugly - PenaltiesEleven penalties in the first half! Emotion and excitement, maybe. Sloppy execution, absolutely. Luckily the Thunderbirds couldn keep up Keith Davis Jersey, but if the Sun Devils have aspirations of playing for a Pac-12 championship or competing in Pasadena, the focus and attention to detail has to be near perfect. Week 1 is meant to be a tune up week, but if ASU is still having issues with flags once conference play hits, it won have the luxury of playing a team that a division below them. With there now being a tentative spring camp date, March 19th, the run of content up to then can finally begin. What better place to start than with a scholarship chart that will inevitably change within 48 hours. Let this be a reminder that all teams are able to go over the 85 limit given COVID-19 and that everyone eligibility froze last year. That explains why I have Wake at 92 total scholarships and why there are THIRTY-FIVE players that are listed as Freshmen. All in all, it not a bad roster construction. On defense, they have a wealth of production coming back both starting and as depth. Injuries have been the story, and while losing Boogie Basham, Jaquez Williams, and Trey Rucker is objectively bad, they might be able to hide those losses. On offense, the gang is all back minus Kenneth Walker III https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Nick_Sharpe_Jersey-150. Again, not a fun loss to have, but I very bullish on this offensive line being able to open holes for CBS, Quinton Cooley, Christian Turner, etc. There are obvious questions here:So what happens at QB?If youe been living underneath a rock, Sam Hartman has a billion(read: 3) years of eligibility left, there are 3 other quarterbacks on the roster and Wake has 2 coming in 2022 in Billy Edwards and Brett Griffis. There is a very, very obvious logjam there. Yes, competition will probably force one or more to transfer Ivan Mora Jersey, but it still a gigantic yellow flag there.Pretty big logjam at WR, huh?Not wrong! Even with Donald Stewart graduating after this year and Roberson expected to hit the draft if he has another 2020 type season, there still a bit of cluttering. Would Taylor Morin shift back to slot receiver in 2022 or would Kehawn Williams and the shifting of Nolan Groulx(who I think would be miles better in the slot vs the Z) be enough to keep Morin outside? How do guys like Jahmal Banks and Casey Washington progress? Can AT Perry stay healthy? So what happens in 2022?Could not tell you. What happens if Sean Maginn, Tyler Williams, Nasir Greer, etc all want to come back for 1 last year? There been zero guidance on whether the NCAA will force teams to go back down to the hard 85 cap limit and at least some of these guys are going to want to return. Is a school going to have to only take 13-14 incoming freshmen/transfers if they want to keep key guys? Do a strong Junior and Senior class steal developmental snaps from sophomores and freshmen? The former, probably not, but the latter absolutely.Still room in 2021?The short answer is https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Jacorey_Johns_Jersey-81, yes. Without the super seniors, Wake sits at 83 81 scholarships and theye only brought in 22 freshmen + transfers. Theye allowed to move up to 5 of the early enrollees to the 2020 class but they probably won need to do that unless after spring camp they feel like they need a wealth of bodies from the portal/unsigned freshmen. With this chart, wel be keeping this updated as people come in and as they depart.Welcome to spring. https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Nick_Sciba_Jersey-47 Sam Hartman Jersey

Last week the Badgers continued to roll and handed out a beatdown to the Northwestern Wildcats, 35-7. This week, Wisconsin welcomes the Nebraska Cornhuskers to town who sit at 3-7 on the season https://www.wboutletstore.com/Hayden_Rucci_Jersey-51. The Huskers come in with a plethora of changes to their staff, but head coach Scott Frost remains at the helm. What do the Badgers need to do to continue Nebraska suffering? Let take a look. Keep progressing in the passing game Over the course of the Badger recent win streak, Braelon Allen has gotten a lot of attention, and rightfully so, but there has also been some big progression in the passing game. Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY SportsGraham Mertz and company started the year rather poorly, but theye come on strong over the last few weeks and hit their zenith over the course of the last two weeks throwing for a total of 456 yards, five touchdowns, and just two interceptions while completing 73% of his passes on average. Mertz has been good these last two weeks and hel have to continue that same progress this week against a Nebraska defense that has been pretty solid so far this year.Coming into this week, the Huskers rank No. 39 in rushing defense which is the highest mark of the Scott Frost era. Theye done a great job against rushing attacks and have held some of the nation's top rushers in check https://www.wboutletstore.com/Danny_Vanden_Boom_Jersey-16. Against Michigan State, the Huskers held Kenneth Walker to just 61 yards, and against Ohio State they held TreVeyon Henderson to just 92 yards. It apparent that this defense is looking to stop the run, and theyl likely sell out for that once again here. If the Badgers want to keep things clicking offensively theyl make Nebraska prove it, but theyl also need to hit some big passing plays to keep the chains moving. The Husker defense has been solid overall, but this team is still 3-7, and part of that is because theye been susceptible to big plays. If Mertz and Co. can hit some of those it should take some pressure off the run game and gain more confidence in the passing game. Contain Adrian Martinez The career arc of Adrian Martinez has not been pretty, but against Wisconsin, Martinez has actually had some pretty solid performances. In the first meeting between the two teams, Martinez racked up 441 yards of total offense. In the second meeting, he racked up 309 yards. Those two games are some of his top career performances at Nebraska. Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY SportsThe main reason for his success in those games has been his ability to make things happen with his legs. His ability to scramble and move in the pocket has been somewhat of a challenge for Wisconsin to contain in their previous meetings. This Badger defense has been great, but this will be an interesting new challenge for them as they haven faced a mobile quarterback all season long. Sean Clifford? Statue. Jack Coan? Statue. Spencer Petras? A mega statue. If you look at the schedule you see that this is a challenge Wisconsin has not faced yet and it will be interesting to see how they fare against that wrinkle. For Wisconsin to have success they need to stay focused on their assignments and try to make Martinez make plays in the pocket Caesar Williams Jersey. He is a run-first quarterback and will look to take off any chance he gets. The Badger linebackers will have to stay focused on keeping him contained and making him make plays with his arm rather than his feet. Martinez is completing just 61% of his passes, so making him throw rather than run will be important.Play clean Overall, Nebraska problems this season are for the most part self-inflicting. To start, they are one of the worst teams in the nation when it comes to special teams Cole Van Lanen Jersey. According to Football Outsiders, Nebraska ranks No. 128 when it comes to FEI which combines all special teams stats into one overall rating. Dylan Widger-USA TODAY SportsIts been a horrendous aspect of their team, and it has cost them dearly. Wisconsin ranks No. 88 in that same category. That a pretty jarring gap when you consider just how bad Wisconsin has been in that phase of the game. Additionally, turnovers and penalties have hurt this team. Nebraska ranks No. 89 in turnover margin and No. 32 in terms of penalty yards per game. The penalty ranking isn as bad as you think but they have had a lot of untimely lapses in that category which makes them stand out. If Wisconsin wants to win this game I think it imperative that they continue to progress in these key areas. Special teams have been poor, but the opponent is much worse and Wisconsin for once may have an advantage there. Turnovers have been bad for Wisconsin too, but it has been much better of late. Wisconsin has been good in the penalty department, but they did have five questionable false starts last week. If Wisconsin can be clean in each of these areas they should put themselves in a good position to win this football game. More FromBucky's 5th Quarter Badgers in the NFL: Jonathan Taylor and T.J. Is this what a impressive, performing Tigers club appears to be like which includes? A person where by the pitching is effective, the offense reveals up, and the staff are particularly pleasurable in the direction of view? This is a preview of components in direction of appear for the Tigers earlier mentioned the coming seasons https://www.dtoutletstore.com/custom_jersey-5, and I imagine we can concur this was a entertaining, enjoyment activity, and I such as a million excess specifically including it.It was established toward be a fight among potent commencing pitching with Casey Mize squaring off from Jack Flaherty. Due to the fact they have been taking part in inside St. Louis https://www.dtoutletstore.com/jim_bunning_jersey-100, it would on top of that be Mize very first season using hacks in opposition to the batter box.Flaherty started out durable in just the to start with, ecosystem the Tigers down inside of invest in, then it grew to become about in direction of Mize, who gave absent a one in the direction of Edman toward add elements off, then Edman proficiently stole minute, nevertheless the Playing cards were being not able towards create anything at all materialize. In just the moment, components received likely for the Tigers early. Candelario drew a a single-out stroll, then Harold Castro singled. Greiner walked toward burden the bases, and then Hill singled in the direction of deliver Sweet property and spot the Tigers upon the board to start with. Soon after Hill it was Mize flip, and wouldn oneself realize it, in just his 1st large league at-bat, Mize drew a bases-prosperous stroll, in direction of wander within just the minute work of the activity. Bat flips and Bow arrows. Casey_Mize | #DetroitRoots Inside the 3rd inning, Mize issued a 2-out stroll, this a single toward DeJong, who was then trapped thieving towards close the inning. Moving into the backside of the 3rd, the Tigers developed a slice straight out of the gate, to start with with Robbie Grossman hitting a solo homer, then Cabrera guiding him with an straightforward solo shot of his personal that I Really of course finished up in just the 3rd deck. 501.Miggy throwing away no season with residence function No. 501! The back again-in direction of-back again residence operates have been the conclusion of the sport for Flaherty who certainly wasn opinion 100%. The remainder of the 3rd was closed down within easy succession as a result of reliever Daniel Ponce de Leon. The backside of the inning noticed a further Mize wander issued in direction of Edman, nonetheless no operates scored for the Playing cards. Inside the ultimate of the fourth inning the Tigers went 1-2-3, and although Carlson strike a double towards add off the backside of the inning for the Playing cards, all over again no operates scored. Ponce de Leon gave up again-toward-back again singles within the 5th inning towards Cabrera and Candelario, which was the close of the night time for him, delivering path toward aged mate Andrew Miller who accomplished the inning devoid of making it possible for yet another Tigers work rating. Within just the backside of the 5th DeJong realized upon an infield one still the Playing cards ended up remaining hunting, and scoreless. It was additionally the stop of the evening for Mize, whose past line for the recreation was 5.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 0 HR upon a 76 pitch depend. Hyun Kim turned the fourth Cardinals pitcher of the evening and fastened the Tigers down inside of obtain. Funkhouser arrived upon inside of the backside of the inning within reduction and returned the prefer towards the Cardinals, not enabling a one baserunner. The 7th inning was in the same way uneventful, as Kim when once again went 1-2-3 all through the Tigers, and Funkhouser authorized simply a leadoff one towards Molina, with the inning finishing as DeJong strike into a double perform.Cabrera drew a leadoff stroll, and was then changed with Zack Shorter as the baserunner. Then with 2 outs, Kim issued a wander towards Greiner, and that was the stop of the recreation for Kim. McFarland arrived off and carried out off the aspect for the Playing cards. Sad to say, variables obtained bumpy for the Tigers within the backside of the inning. Ramirez was upon in direction of pitch for the Tigers https://www.dtoutletstore.com/rocky_colavito_jersey-108, and gave up a leadoff triple towards Bader, a wander in the direction of Sosa, and then a groundout towards Edman that scored Bader, inserting the Playing cards upon the board. Carlson realized upon a strike-as a result of-pitch, and the Tigers grew to become variables more than in the direction of Fulmer. Arenado then doubled towards ranking Sosa and Carlson. The good news is, Fulmer was ready towards near components down against there, however a 4-0 contribute grew to become a 4-3 wonderful out of the blue https://www.dtoutletstore.com/gregory_soto_jersey-63.Inside of the ultimate of the 9th, the Tigers suddenly obtained a baserunner within the sort of a Daz Cameron double. Schoop grounded out in the direction of buy Cameron in the direction of 3rd, and then the Playing cards deliberately walked Grossman in the direction of acquire in direction of Limited. 2 baserunners led toward almost nothing as Brief struck out towards consider variables in the direction of the backside of the 9th.
